I'm not much of a short term trader either, but I do use short term trading strategies to find intermediate to long term entries and exits, look for market action to get some confirmation for my ideas, etc., etc.

You have a great point! Thinking about it, I use short therm strategies as well to get the best price possible once I decide it’s good time to buy. Of course, keeping in mind it’s still a long therm investment.
