45% of your portfolio, you must have a lot of courage, or you must know some promising things about these three coins. Ark is on 60 place right now, and I have watched it too since it was fighting with Steem for the ~30 place. After the last huge pump and dump of the market it got left behind. It can be under evaluated right now, so buying it can be a wise move, or simply it won't be able to increase much in value, I can't advice over it. Also this is the case with a lot of tokens which used to be in top and now they are lower, while Steem kept staying in the top. The fact is that the market is so unpredictable that you simply can't know which one of them to chose to invest in, at least this is my humble opinion. About Syscoin and PIVX, I don't know much, so I won't make any advice about any of them, including Ark, because I am not a specialist and I simply can be wrong.
I find Verge pretty promising right now, but I don't know, yet I wouldn't encourage anybody to follow my opinions (I don't even consider them advices).
Whatever you chose to do, I wish you will make the right choices and that they will bring you a good payout! You could make a post about what have you chosen and how it turned out, when you consider it is the time to conclude about it :D
STEEM, SBD and BTS are still the brightest stars out there, IMHO.
I couldn't agree more! Especially with the small volume that it has, SBD can be pumped easily and increase our rewards :D Steem is the base currency of this blockchain which is fast and free (not necessary in this order) and Bitshares has quite close performances to Steem, but a completely different use case so I understand why you support these so much! But indeed, as you have pointed out in your post, it is pretty healthy to diverse your portfolio so I can also encourage you to buy different tokens that you find valuable. For me... I keep powering up everything I earn here, making a long shot on Steem. If SMTs succeed, everything should be good, if they not, then I didn't even had these money anyway so it is a pretty fair trade :))
