Four of Swords (reversed)
The knight in the card is an effigy lying in rest in a church with a stained glass window above. As with most tombs such as this his hands are placed together in prayer. His face is peaceful.
A card of hibernation, withdrawal, rest, the need to find peace from within or need to slow down. The suit of swords is related to the Air element. It is associated with intellect and logic. The suit of swords represents your daily struggles and is strongly associated with those who use words for a living and with communication. Aren't so many problems and complaints in life related to communication? When words are used to hurt or cut down remember there will be consequences. The sword is also used to symbolize justice, cutting away to the heart of the matter.
The four of swords symbolizes a time of rest, quiet contemplation. Perhaps the calling of a truce to an argument .
Here it is reversed, you may be refusing to make a decision about something, or feel unwell today. One sword lies above the knight, signifying that one issue may be dominating your thoughts today. You may surrender to something unavoidable. Leave the fight for another day, withdraw and plan your attack. Be careful and mindful of emotional and or physical exhaustion today. Hold your tongue when feeling like you are about to lash out, you will regret it and cause harm to others.
Health:
Slow down and take it easy if you can.
Love/Relationships:
A long term commitment is stagnant and no longer serving you. Be cautious in bullying others to get your own way.
Family:
Family situations may frustrate you today. A day to hold your tongue and avoid arguments which may end up having long term negative consequences. Remember that you cannot change people.
Money:
Think of ways to bring in extra money. It is a day to check in with those who owe you money and discuss being repaid.
Career:
You will be frustrated with your lack of progress at work today. Make no hasty decisions today. Be wise. You will be busy but get little done today.
A rough day perhaps today, no matter what your life circumstances, take a little time out to think, meditate and count your blessings. Balance the heart with the mind.
Peace and wisdom,
