I have to admit that I was a little put off by the outside appearance of the building. They really need to spruce it up a bit. First impressions are very important. But I had heard good things about the food so I decided to go on for it. The inside was a pleasant surprise after my initial impression. It was spacious and clean and bright.
The menu had a large selection and very reasonable prices.
There was an additional page of just daily specials:
I ordered the chicken fingers, which came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and peas. I received a side salad and hot rolls first, and a dish of butter pecan ice cream for dessert.
My friend got the Pork Steak with White Milk Gravy that was on the specials menu. He ordered the chicken noodle soup as his appetizer.
The food was good, though nothing really outstanding. The best thing was my chicken fingers. They were hand breaded and cut here in the restaurant, not frozen, and is one of the specialities of the house.
Like I said, the price was very reasonable for 2 full dinners, drinks, and dessert - around $20.
