Hello, Steemians! Thanks for all the support you’ve shown us so far. You have helped to enrich Tasteem by approximately 7 thousand posts in just 2 weeks. Thank you again. There have, however, been some issues that called for a temporary closing of Tasteem, until it can be truly globalized and made useful.
People familiar with languages other than English have expressed some frustration at having to post mainly in English. We feel that we must meet the needs of those people, by launching Tasteem for each language/region, for example Tasteem Kr(Korea), Tasteem Jp(Japan), or Tasteem Vt(Vietnam). You will be able to post in your own language, if English is not the language you are most comfortable using.
We would like to give special thanks to Steemians from Vietnam and Indonesia, along with other nations of Southeast Asia. You have made up, roughly, 30 percent of all global Tasteemers. We’d like to make it possible for you to be able to write in your own languages, as soon as possible.
Tasteem for English users will soon be reopened too. We look forward to your participation and support!
Hi @jamieinthedark
My humble suggestion that you should change Tasteem Vietnam into Tasteem VN not Vt. The Vietnamese are familiar with the term VN, they would be confused with the short-term Vt tho.
I had been a translator and moderator for @teamvn quite some time, If you need anything, lemme know.
Hello, @carlpei. Thanks for your suggestion. The official term would be Tasteem Vietnam, though we actually weren't sure of the precise abbreviation to use. I will let the other guys at @tasteem know about @teamvn, and hopefully you could help us once Tasteem reopens! Thanks again!
How about the ongoing contest then?
Hi, @joythewanderer. I'm able to answer your question as I'm assisting the team at @tasteem. The ongoing contests will be completed as scheduled, with Tasteem announcing the winners. :)
Thanks Jamie. I wish Tasteem success in the future. Good luck!
Do you understand the languages of that country?
Presumably, Tasteem will hire speakers of different languages.
I know that some online supporters (to help picking out abusers, etc.) were to be found among Steemians- at least that was part of the plan before deciding this temporary closure. That may or may not be the case once Tasteem reopens, but in any case, Tasteem will have speakers of different languages on their team.
yes, I think you should hire an outsider or elect one in the community of nations to be the curator for each country's tasteem
By an election is better off
How long is this temporary closure ?
Hello, @itstime. The languages/regions mentioned in the post will first see their own Tasteem open, as soon as possible. It might take a couple of months for other languages!
But is it still open for the english language users ?
No. After the ongoing contests are ended, Tasteem will close temporarily with the exception of Tasteem Korea. A global/English using Tasteem will reopen in the near future!
wish you guys the best !!
I hope that the Arabic language insteemet
Thanks, @darsh79. Eventually there will be Tasteem for Arabic users, too!
oh so sad.. I hope it will be back. I would like to introduce it to philippines community...
It will, @acinad. Tasteem Phil. will open as soon as @tasteem is ready.
ok we will wait 😊
How can apply for the position as a curator of the community speaking Vietnamese?
oh, hope to be a curator for the Vietnamese community hehe
I hope that the vietnamese version.
Can you show me how to become a manager in the Vietnamese region?
Let's us know if you need help.
Here is my suggestion:
There is a similar food review application on android. You may interested to check it out at https://steemit.com/@letseat. It is an easier to use and review application on mobile phone. Perhaps you may want to do a collaboration with them.
Create a team of moderator and invited judge guest for each contest. The moderator may need to check the references of the images/photos provided and the content of the post. The judge will give point to the submitted post.
Hope this helps.
why do not you make the contest again ..@stasteem
Congrats, this wonderful post is feature on Today's Joy Steemit daily news! (in Chinese :D)
A good idea for everyone. But how do you choose the managers for each area. When will the same language be located in the same area?
I hope that the Chinese version
I hope everything can be okay soon.
Quite sad upon hearing this. I have been encouraging my more than 100 Steemit friends in the Philippines to try Tasteem until I saw this.
By the way, I want to be part of @tasteem team. Hopefully, I will become part of this great platform.
sorry, i can join discord of tasteem?
