Hello Tasteemers,
Happy New Year 2019! It has been almost 1 month, I have not posted in @tasteem and today I would like to share with you my food adventure when I was holidaying in Bandung, Indonesia with my family. Since I was on holiday, I kept hunting for food to share in tasteem.
One of the restaurant I stumble upon is called KEDAI BELACAN. For me belacan means shrimp paste. We in Malaysia also use belacan in our cooking.
The setup of this restaurant was nice and cozy. There were alot of tables on the ground floor and also on the 1st floor.

The Menu
The variety of choices of food from you to choose from is more than what you can handle. I wanted to almost ordered everything but, I think it was because we were too hungry. We arrived this restaurant at about 3pm to have our lunch. 😅
What we ordered?
I ordered the “Daging Sapi masak Rica”, “Fried Taugeh”, “Oxtail Soup”, “Tauhu fried with smelly beans”, “Chicken masak Pedas”, and my kids ordered their fried noodles.
What do I think of the food here? One word Delicious 😋. The food is spicy and very flavourful, the oxtail soup it very aromatic, and I couldn’t help but had to have 2 plates of rice because it was soooooo tasty.
Damage
The total bill I spend was 774,000 Rupiah (approximately USD55). Quite pricey but the food was worth the money spent. I am sorry I lost the receipt because I was too full to remember to take a photo of the receipt. 😂
During our lunch we were entertain by local performers too!

That food look so spicy...with chili skins and seeds. Just by looking at it I can imagine how spicy it is. By the way, nice post!
The food is spicy but of course it suits the cooking style. Thank you @verasj
