When you walk into Grimaldi's from Franklin Avenue you will be greeted by friendly bartenders and wait staff. The tables are covered with the typical New York pizzeria tablecloths that bear the traditional red and white plaid.
The aroma of fresh pizza will instantly make your mouth water. For the kids, white paper table cloths covering the red and white plain cloth make a great coloring book (Grimaldi's waitstaff will provide the crayons). Sit at the high tables along Franklin Avenue with a date and enjoy the city-like view. The dining room's mural of the Brooklyn Bridge will remind you of the roots of the Grimaldi's tradition.
At the bar you will be greeted by a friendly bartender who is more than happy to tend to your needs. Enjoy a personal pizza at the bar while you wait for friends or during happy hour with some local residents. While sitting on the bar stools you can enjoy sports or the news on the big flat screen tv's hung behind the bar and mingle with some one Garden City's lawyers, bankers, and business executive while grabbing a drink and a bite to eat.
For a bite to eat, head over to Grimaldi's, but bring an appetite because they do not serve individual slices. This is not a problem because once you have the first slice you are sure to go for another.
Grimaldi's does offer a personal pizza, but you are going to want to take the leftovers home so go for the large pie. Enjoy a New York tradition in the middle of Nassau County at Grimaldi's.
