GM Praggnanandhaa R and GM Gukesh D both lost their games in the final round of Tata Steel Chess 2025 against GM Vincent Keymer and GM Arjun Ergiaisi, respectively, to play a tiebreaker which saw each player win one game, with Praggnanandhaa then winning the first sudden death blitz game and clinching the title.
