Inside the brain of the machine
GOD
If anything has been useful to me while being an active member in my Tau community is, apart from meeting people with concerns, values and goals similar to mine, to be able to speak and write without being marked or pigeonholed. I have been able to debate and study on transcendental issues with people who are experts in their fields and disciplines. Apart from all of this, (which is not little!) it has helped me to try to put myself inside the brain of a machine. It also has helped me putting aside for a second my beliefs and dogmas to give way to a more logical and pragmatic thinking and to imagine what could be the future applications of Tau, although it is like guessing what the Internet would be in while living in the 20s.
It seems innate to tend to extrapolate our way of thinking the way an ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) created by ourselves would do, but, unless we expressly misrepresent that intelligence, it would never bring out the conclusions and reasoning that any of us would reach. Maybe it is because of the education we are subjected to, or the culture that permeates and surrounds us wherever we go, who knows. The truth is that this fact unmasks again my ignorance and my lack of mental clarity but what better redemption than accepting an error and solving it, thinking and acting differently than you did before you realized it. Let me explain:
As an individual and as a community, I believe that we can set ourselves the goal of contributing to create / develop / teach a future ASI, whether supporting the project within our capacities, working, thinking, debating, discussing, contributing, developing, programming or investing. The power of a strong community is essential to complete a complex task. Let’s now put a dot here and separate.
We have to understand that an ASI by definition has the capacity to think, at least, 100 times greater than an average human being, which means that is a thinking entity very superior than any of us. However, it’s important to note that the ASI is created / developed directly or indirectly BY us, "normal" individuals, and I emphasize “BY us” because by definition we are very, very inferior beings compared to it.
Now let us do the exercise of asking a random question to Tau:
Does God exist? (Yes god, as known by millions of human beings, that superior being that has created us). Can you see the stupidity of our reasoning through the logic and pragmatic thinking of a machine? Now, let Tau speak.
Tau:
If you have contributed to my creation while being 100 times more foolish (with forgiveness) than me. In the event that something created you, why should it be superior? Would not it be possible that you have been created by a someone 100 times more foolish than you? (Pure logical reasoning).
Many doors open here; if the effort, the support and the joint community of people with the same goal can create an ASI, why a man could not be created by a collective of "entities" with a common goal? Let us use microorganisms as an example; is a microorganism 100 times less intelligent than a human is? In such a case, the human being will be waiting for an unattainable creator (something very superior than a human being itself) and will be forgetting a creator who can agglomerate in his interior (something much simpler like a microorganism).
It is not my intention to belittle people of faith but rather to unmask the ignorant. Because in my opinion, in great goals, it is imperative to use faith to overcome magic.
Let us think for a second... why, during our lives, we strive, work, think, debate, discuss, contribute, develop, or invest in creating something that is equal to us, that does not improve us or that improves us just a little bit? That is precisely what we can do naturally, innate and in a pleasant way just by having offspring.
Spending all our lives putting effort in something that does not improve us would be useless; the useful thing would be to work to create something that manages to overcome the barriers that impede our development.
According to the way the majority of people thinks, it is not that "an entity" puts its effort in creating something equal or something little superior than itself (something that would already be absurd), but that it would create something infinitely inferior. It only remains to say that this reasoning is simply ridiculous.
And I think again as a human when I say that I would contribute everything if there was the slightest possibility of creating an ASI. Even if it does not considers me similar or useful in any aspect once developed, even if it forgets about me during its journey.
Enjoyed the read! Thank you!

Well the problem is that you are going into "motivation" and "nature of". Once you take a leap and make assumptions on the nature of the "creator" you are then capable of come to any conclusion you want. Logic and motivation do not always coincide.
I write to expose hypothesis, I do not have any truth, I like to make theoretical parallels about my experiences. Thanks for commenting.
