Yes you said it, it really is an illusion. ITs just stuff politicains do to make all the sheep happy and think "well I reckon the goberment really do cares about us". You can call it a curtain to keep out the prying eyes on the bad deeds of selling billions of dollars of weapons to Saudi Arabia that in return they use to comment war crimes on Yemen. An illusion to cover up the fact the Trump campaign colluded with Israel. etc etc etc.
We might get 10 or 20% inflation instead of 8% right now. Sheeple are happy though they get their tax cuts and pay raises and their stocks are going up in price.

The companies are taking advantage of the 14% corporate tax cut to buyback their own stock, not invest in their workers or new business ventures.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
An interesting irony. One would think the tax cuts were a genuine path to easing peoples financial strain. Pretty sad that elected officials continue to deceive the unsuspecting masses.
What really baffled me here is how government still ran deficit of $3 billion+ that's huge amount. after collecting taxes worth trillions of dollars.

Evade more taxes. They get less money. Unless they confiscate everything from you for a stupid reason they might make up. So that they can sell it for money.
Trickle down economics don't work....it's called Reganomics, It didn't work in the 80's it doesn't work now....

No, that'd be you when 2020 is over unless you are planning to start your 2024 campaign immediately following. Actually it will be even sooner than 2020 when the LP party declares their 2020 candidates to which I see your name at the bottom of the list.
