Neck Spinal Aches

Modern lifestyle has given rise to many people encountering neck aches nowadays, and these pains may further radiate to pains in other areas such as back of our heads, back of our shoulders, upper backs etc.

To prevent these neck-spinal aches, it is essential to always keep our necks and backs in a straight line. Avoid arching our backs. Get a pillow to support your lower back when sitting on a chair for prolonged periods💺. When carrying shoulder sling bags, be sure to alternate between shoulders and arms to avoid overwork on either sides.

If these neck-spinal aches are caused on nerves compression (such as C5-C6), you may also experience aches in the arms and fingers.

A simple daily exercise to do to relieve and avoid neck-spinal pains:
1️⃣Lower jaw to neck 10-20 times
2️⃣Lift shoulders up for 5-10secs per time before slowly releasing down
3️⃣Tilt head left and right towards shoulders for 5-10secs per time and return slowly
4️⃣Interlock fingers and lift up arms above heads with palms turning up for 5-10secs per time before lowering hands slowly

The best exercise for people with these problems is swimming 🏊‍♀️.
