I just went to the middle of Sri Lanka where we can see tea plantation, Sri Lankan tea is world famous as 'Ceylon Tea.' Ceylon tea is being considered as the world's No. 1 tea.
If I talk about the history of Ceylon tea,
It was as far back as the year 1824 in which the British conveyed a tea plant from China to Ceylon (as Sri Lanka was known at the time). It was planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya and is considered to have been the primary non-business tea plant in Sri Lanka.
After almost two decades in 1867, James Taylor, Scottish by beginning, planted 19 sections of land of tea in the city of Kandy in Ceylon, at the Loolecondra Estate as the primary business tea manor. The possible offer of Loolecondra teas brought about 1872, in Kandy and the principal tea dispatch to London in 1873. These spearheading endeavors were finished by experimentation and enhanced throughout the years by means of the presentation and change of tea preparing machines and strategies, by various people and organizations.
The principal broking firm John Brothers and Co. was built up in 1876 and the primary open Colombo sell off occurred in 1883 under the direction of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (which was set up in 1839). The Colombo Tea Traders' Association was framed in 1894 and in 1925 the Tea Research Institute was built up. These associations helped support the generation and fare of Ceylon Teas in its beginning times.
