A computer without a m.2 nvme SSD is like driving a car that has no tyres on it. This is the most important component of any computer build today, tomorrow, and likely into 2020.
While the Motherboard I've got on order does support PCI-E 4.0 nvme SSDs - that is an upgrade that I will complete at a later date as market saturation increases, and I feel like a fresh install of an operating system.
My motherboard has 2 m.2 slots, both of which will operate at 4.0 standards, so I've got plenty of room to grow.
I am still waiting for the CPU and Motherboard to arrive, but I'm in no rush. I want it right right now, but I don't need it right, right now.
With the weather being oppressively hot, one of my deliveries is delayed due to the heat, which is understandable, as the distribution centre for the couriers probably doesn't have air conditioning.
When it is almost half way to the boiling point of water hot, that's something that everyone needs to stop and be respectful of.
In any case, I hope I get the components soon, as I'm itching to build!
Stay tuned for more upgrades on my build log!
Ah yes, the old m.2 nvme SSD, PCI-E 4.0 nvme and the Motherboard...
I know it well.
No I don't. 😃
Quite obviously.
