Angle grinder fireworks - win Steem!

in #teamaustralia7 years ago (edited)

My partner took this picture of me working in the garage cutting up some steel grills for one of my projects. Doesn't it look amazing with the sparks showering down like fireworks! If anyone can guess what I was making then I will give them half the proceeds of this post. Resteem required to win the prize. A small clue; its related to my username. Good luck :D

Looks cool! My guess is that you were making a bike rack.

I'm afraid it's not that :)

My second guess was going to be that it was a bicycle frame. Doesn't sound super likely really. :)

Unfortunately not... have you got any more?

An aquarium? ;)

Steel grills for an aquarium - no I'm afraid that's not it

Guess I can't play ;(

Ha ha no my friend... you can't!

Good to see safety comes first and you've got your goggles on. I reckon you're making a treasure chest to store all your gold and silver in! :)

Good guess indeed... but the as you can see I am making something larger than a matchbox ;)

Hmm, a couple of things wrong with your reply:

#1 - You assume I "guessed" when in fact I put a lot of thought, logic and science into my "deduction"

#2 - Get thee some more gold and silver me hearty!

:)

I stand corrected, but your scientific method needs some tweaking... the grills would let the gold and silver fall out ;)
And yes I'm working on getting some more gold and silver!

Ah ha. I see the hole in my logic. “Grills.” Must be a meat smoker then. :)

I want dat prize! :)

Now how is that connected to my username? You're just not trying very hard now are you ;-)

Happy new year! Cool idea.

Further clue for everyone - cycling gold fish

Darn, I missed this! However, I'm going to take a stab at it for the fun of it.

From your clues and your later post I'm wondering if it's something to do with gold fossicking?

You got it... it's was part of a gold sluice! Well done :)

Yay! Did you get any gold with it?

Actually yes... I made a recirculating system so I could go out in the dry bush. It was a lot of fun with a lot of muddy water... and a few bits of colour at the end as reward. But the effort to get a little bit of gold is really a lot... I think very few of the gold miners in the old times actually made a good living!

I doubt they did unless they hit pay dirt with a big nugget. I think they usually got just enough to pay for their essentials and keep mining.

Hopefully it was a fun exercise for you.
