RE: Come with me on a siteseeing tour of the Netherlands while I eat all the desserts!

I always thought becoming a vegetarian would make going out and traveling very difficult. Thanks for posting about your trip and showing me that It can be done! Loved all your pictures and adventures and I especially like your pros and con list. I did have a question for you though, with all the challenges you had with the visa and MasterCard what was widely excepted, American Express?

Sort:

It can be, depends where you are. Get the HappyCow app Kubby. There's a free and paid version but they are the same, just the free one has ads. I still want to write that going plant based guide too. It's on my list.

They use Maestro a lot but I think this is pretty much confined to Europe. I can't remember seeing Maestro cards in Australia. Cash is king. Most of the hotels etc. are fine with visa/mastercard it's mostly smaller places. That said, none of the supermarkets took visa which surprised me a lot.

Downloading happy cow app right now except they only have the one you pay for. there is another called vegan/vegetarian that is free and I'll be downloading.

What is maestro? Looking forward to your guide :-)

Maestro is like visa/mastercard/amex etc. But I think it's only in Europe.

Hmm, it's still showing up for free in android on my phone.

Unfortunately on my app it is saying it cost $3.99, there is one just below it that is free. So, I'm just going to download that one.
