Queen Victoria Night Markets

Hi friends!

Tonight my boyfriend and went out on an adventure in our home city Melbourne!

Although we live in Melbourne, we rarely get a chance to venture into the city! So while we are both on holidays we decide we would visit somewhere in the city that we haven't before.

The queen Victoria markets! A market place that has existed since the late 1860s that introduced the summer night market 20 years ago!

At this market there a cute stalls with little nick nacks to buy as well as tons of delicious food from around the globe.

We walked in at 5pm when the market started and we were starving so we headed straight to the food stalls. We did one quick lap to get an understanding of our game plan and we decided we'd start with vietnames!

I got a pork banh mi pictured closest to the bottom of the photo and adam got pork roti bread wrap.

They were both so tasty and fresh and we were very happy without first choice.

We then had to pick something else, we had spotted another market goer with some pulled pork nachos and nachos are is one of our favourite meals! So we went on a hunt to find them!

Thepulled pork was so tasty and the drizzled melted cheese really brought the dish home. We loved it!

We decided we'd have a little break before eating dessert and found some awesome buskers playing music off to the side of the market.

Once we had a break it was on to dessert, which we scoped out long before our first meal! Churros! Another favourite of ours that we couldn't go past!

And the churros did not disappoint! We scoffed them down with the caramel sauce like they were the last thing on this earth.

To finish off the night we decided we'd also enjoy somebody gelati, which unfortunately I didn't picture. I picked the lemon and adam picked the mango, we both really enjoyed it and felt refreshed but extremely full.

At this point we were ready to call our food adventure a night and headed back home on the metro train system.

All in all, the summer night market was enjoyable. Like all markets, it was quite an expensive night, although when you're like us and have 2 main meals and 2 desserts, that's to be expected! Haha. Also as a tip, if you get the chance to go, go as soon as it opens as it gets very busy very quickly and there's not always places to sit and eat!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this little nook of Melbourne! Thank you for reading!

Stay excellent!
Natt
