Amen! Steemit DID IT again for the second time!

I have been on Steemit for almost 4 months now since October 2017 and I still can’t find the exact words to describe it.

But here’s how I would sum it up.

  1. It’s an enriching platform where you don’t only build community but make new friends too.

  2. It’s a life saver just when you needed it the most!

But of course, everyone sees it differently as it serves various reasons.

Like any other platform that serves the community, you can’t expect everything drop from the sky to your lap.

So we always encourage fellow Steemians to work on their postings, write good stuffs, connect with one another, help one another (because when you help, you are helping yourself too) and work on accumulating the returns in your account so you can reinvest it and buy Steem to increase your Steem Power so your upvotes carry more value.

Running a business is not the same as receiving monthly pay cheque. When you run a business, sometimes you get paid early and sometimes there will be a slight delay.

Recently, there was a slight hiccup at the client side resulting us to be receiving our payment a little late. And since I have reserved some fund earlier, it turns out that I have a little shortage.

Didn’t want to rely on my spouse, I decided to turn to Steemit again and luckily I can cash out some to cover when need to. Although the rate isn’t so pretty for exchange now (not adviseable to do exchange this time around), just gotta bite the bullet and get it done. Sometimes, we need to prioritise what matters.

So yes, for the second time, Steemit has saved my life – again!

We can always work on growing our passive reserves again as we go along. I remembered my First experience clearly like a flashback, read it HERE.

Here’s my take on the whole experience:

  1. Take Steemit as your passive income platform. Work on it like how you would if you are given a task to complete and get paid. Be open to learn and ask. The only difference is that at Steemit you don’t get fixed income, and you rely on upvotes to earn.

  2. Don’t rely entirely on Steemit to earn. Vary your strategies. The wise says don’t put all your monies into one basket. Likewise of your effort & energy. Reinvest them into multiple projects and portfolios that you can afford. If you don’t have a business to run, stay on the job (so you can earn consistent income) while being on Steemit. If you currently run a business or just starting out, take up or be part of a few projects to sustain and to keep your heads above water.

  3. Don’t get dishearten if your earnings are up and down. Some days you will earn very low, some days you earn zero and some other days you earn more than you expected. Imagine these earning are extra coins and ringgits that you put into the piggy bank. Some days you put in 50 cents and some days 5 ringgit/dollar.

  4. If you can’t write in English well, write in languages that you are comfortable with. Tag it accordingly. Tagging correctly helps you get discovered by likeminded Steemians.

  5. There will be people earning better than you. But it’s okay, sometimes this is due to their High Steem Power followers votes and sometimes it’s due to the quality posting.

  6. Find time to write, even if you can only post a short one. But make it interesting or else nobody will take any interest to read and comment.

I can’t find anything quite like Steemit out there yet or maybe I haven’t look around that long enough to compare. Either way, I am glad to be part of the Steemians and just grow along.

Something About Angiechin28

Angie Chin is an Alpha Mom with a mission and founder of WonderWomen.Asia (coming soon), the first online portal in Malaysia that connects Women to affordable online learning, community activities, shareable contents, events, jobs and go-to market opportunities. At home, she’s a mommy to a 10 year old daughter, 6 furbabies + a grown babe. She loves travelling, cooking, exploring new food, reading and watching re-runs on Youtube.

Regularly posting up her ramblings and sharing contents (current favorities is Facebook & Instagram), she fell head over heels with Steemit after realising it’s the only platform that allows ANYONE to earn cryptocurrency by creating and posting up contents, even by liking, voting or commenting other people’s contents!

Whatever you do on the platform, you will earn. Isn’t that awesome?

To start earning, sign up for Steemit already! Post up your original contents and you can almost start seeing the ka-ching in your account before you know it.

Best of all, it is FREE (Love the word FREE).

Life tagline (for now): Never be afraid to try anything once!

Another great post. I would suggest not to look at the reward when you just get started. I have seen people quit because their posts hardly get upvoted. Here is my advice to all newbies - persistency and network with the right people and you will get noticed. Stick to your niche and just keep doing it.

Agreed @coloringiship, persistence is key. Nothing is easy for the first few months.

Thank you guru Angie..

Lols! Ye lah...Murid murid....
