How could I miss your post until now, almost 24 hours late? In fact, I was wondering where to find this post but I was fully occupied last night.
- I did a one to one coach to my friend from 7 pm till 10 pm on steemit
- then I went home and continue to do a live tutorial class to a Nigeria discord group at 11 pm till 1 AM...
- Then woke up this morning, went to help my friend in her mobile app workshop until 8 pm when I arrived home.
- Then I was distracted by the call to enroll for this week TEH Tarik live talk but was rejected eventually as only one "returning winner" are allowed for the live talk.
It was my pleasure to finally meet up with you too in person and too bad of all the places in Malaysia, you have missed Ipoh town. But the consolation is you have visited Penang Island where I live for 6 years in the mid 90's and you have visited the historical town of Melaka.
Incidentally, my hometown is an hour drive south of Ipoh, a small town called Bidor. It is popular in Duck Mee Soup. Ipoh was once a "manufacturer" for beautiful women in Malaysia in the 60's-70's. What it meant was women came from Ipoh are particularly beautiful ( I was too young to appreciate that ). Probably still now.
You don't have to personally step into Ipoh to know it. I can give you a quick virtual tour of Ipoh. It was a mining area in the 50's-60's. Almost surrounded by the main range. There are several waterfalls around Ipoh which divert crystal clear water to the stream. For the year, there is no major development in Ipoh that has branded Ipoh is a quiet town for retirement.
When come to food, Sar Ho Fun is the most popular while noodle in Ipoh. Nowhere else in Malaysia you can get a similar level of quality.
It has a soft and tender texture which was claimed to be contributed by the water quality in Ipoh Valley.
There is manufactures in Kuala Lumpur attempted to simulate the water quality in Ipoh with R.O. Water filtration system but still cannot come near to the Ipoh standard. There are several places which offer great cheap and good food in surroding townships.
Plenty of places of Interest in Ipoh and surrounding township as well. Particularly are those caves and waterfalls, just based on my memory.
Anyway, I like what you have put up in the post and well illustrated Thai dishes and beautify photo. Surely the photo I like the most is the blur picture of is with green curry on the lense. I am going to miss you soon after you go back but who knows you will come back soon.
Until the, I wish you all the best in your future understaking and continue to share your story about your travel to us ya
Cheers
