Let the word for today be "Que"

I have to admit. As much as I love to travel I also hate it just as much. The part that makes me stressful and keeps my anxiety up high are airports.

Getting there on time is one thing but the ques are horrible most times. Our small little airport here in Kota Kinabalu was a stress-free airport where you knew you could show up at the airport 10 minutes before flight and walk to the boarding gate if you have already checked in in advanced. Now, with the amount of international and domestic tourists, you have to make your way in at least 1 hour in advanced for domestic flights and 2 hours for international.

You seriously waste a lot of time to que up for the self printing boarding pass and luggage tags kiosks. Then you need to line up to get it scanned and que up again to drop it at cargo. Once that's done without any complications, you need to make your way into security check point. Yes, you need to line up again before you head to the next "fun" que. This one is my favourite. Immgration. This is where you have to present you boarding pass and also your ID or passport so they can put you on the system and to find out if you are clear to fly out or if you are blacklisted, you will be denied to fly out of the country. Ok. The ques, let's get back to that. After that, you head to the boarding hall and wait again till your flight is "boarding". Yes, there will be chaos because everyone wants to go in early. Finally, you follow the que slowly and get in the plane to your designated seat. At this point, you can relax already and just enjoy the flight.

Nobody is moving but I guess they like standing around after sitting for a while during the flight? 🤔

Once you've landed, part 2 starts. People will unbuckle the safety belts as soon as the plane lands and stand up to collect their overhead luggage before sign is even turned off. Doors open and everyone will rush out to the next line. Immigration, again. This is where they know that you have arrived at the destination and some people get denied entry at this point for various reasons. Once you've passed through, you need to wait for your luggage at the conveyor belt. Once you've collected the luggages, you need to find your next mode of transportation to your next destination. Train, bus, taxi or shuttle, there will still be a que to buy the tickets and then get on the transportation.

So, you see my point about the time you have to spend in ques and waiting? Anyways, thats just me. I don't mean to maketnthis post like a rant (which isn't actually) but I just wanted to share what I do find stressful about traveling. How about you? What's your least favorite part about traveling?
