3 months ago, I wrote a piece about networking and how to network effectively. I am actively networking throughout the MCO, the CMCO and now the RMCO. I received a couple of referrals last month. One is almost coming to a close. So far, everyone who asked me how have I been during MCO? I would say, it's been great!

What's also great is I learned to make gyoza during CMCO. I had to because I got the main ingredient for free. I had about 50 pcs of gyoza wraps from a friend. So, I had to cook-lah! 😂

You may have seen pictures of my gyoza in my Instagram or Facebook.

Gyoza

Gyoza is one of my comfort foods. I was surprised to received a call from a friend one morning saying she was sending gyoza skins to my house, courtesy of our common friend. I decided to make them at my mom's house in the weekend. I searched through YouTube for the recipe and I found one I really like because it's super simple. It's a Japanese recipe. Watch the video here. I followed the recipe closely.

Ingredients:

  1. Minced Pork/beef
  2. Chopped garlic
  3. Chopped chives (I got the chives from my mom's friend's garden)
  4. Sesame oil
  5. Salt

Mix all the above together in a bowl. Then, wrap them in the gyoza wraps.

My first attempt. These were made at my mum's house.

Had it with fresh ginger and my mum's preserved ginger.

This is the last batch of the gyoza. I made these at my home for my lunch. I got better at wrapping them.

I put quite a lot of sesame oil. They looked beautiful, smelled wonderful and was flavourful. I could eat a dozen in one sitting.

Next.... I learned to make Thai style stir fry pumpkin with egg. Will share in the next post.
