On 30 September, I needed to transport 6 kg of Singapore coins from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. The purpose is to change it back to Ringgit because money changers don't accept coins. All this is collected from all sorts of people below the exchange rate.
The journey began with me from KL central on the bus to KLIA terminal 2, I arrived 2 hours before my flight just in case of any issues when passing customs. Plus, I am slightly above the flight 7 kg limit when including my clothes.
Thankfully I managed to pass through the Airport customs without any issues. So I waited at the departure hall until my flight to Senai Airport at Johor Bahru.
after I landed at the Senai International Airport, I take a shuttle bus to the Johor Bahru Custom checkpoint to cross into Singapore.
The Singapore customs sometimes do baggage checks and today is one of those days. My bag of coins managed to pass through the X-ray machine without any incident. Thankfully no officers suddenly asked why I am suddenly carrying a bag of coins through the border.
after I leave the woodland checkpoint, I originally wanted to change my coin at the Marsiling food centre by walking toward it. Luckily I managed to find a Malay Cafe at Marsiling Community Club that gladly exchanged for most of my coins.
after finish exchanging my coins into notes and have a drink, I continued my journey to the Marsiling food centre to exchange the remaining 50 Singapore dollar coins.
Once that is done, my quest is completed. I stay at Larkin and following day go back into Singapore to explore than on 2nd October I fly back to Kuala Lumpur KLIA from Johor Bahru Senai Airport.
Sounds nfs cool man, did you take any snaps in Singapore?
