I love listening to music, whether it's classical, rock or pop. I'll listen to anything at least once. I also have a tendency to relate songs to certain experiences that I've experienced or stages of my life. And sometimes, I can't listen to certain songs because they make me feel sad or melancholic. I feel like everyone can relate to this to a certain extent because music evokes memories, emotions and feelings.
Here are some of my favourite songs:
1. Holy by PVRIS
Reason: Its lyrics! The first time I heard this song, I was like "Wow!" This is kind of like a call-out song for religious hypocrites, the ones who don't practice what they preach, according to Lynn, the singer.
When you're claiming your faith and you contradict your speech
So I sit here and listen to your tongue and cheek
I know that when you sit and pray you're only praying for keeps
2. I Need You by M83
Reason: The entire song gives me chills and makes me feel something I don't know how to explain. There's barely any lyrics but seriously..
3. We Are Bulletproof Part 2 by BTS
Reason: This is a song I can never tire of. The beat, the rap. It's amazing, especially now that they're doing so well and making a name for themselves worldwide. It makes me so proud of how far they've come from their trainee days.
While you guys partied
I gave up sleep for my dreams
I spent all night holding a pen
Closing my eyes only after the morning sun rises
