Everest Base Camp Trek is the most popular trekking activities in Himalaya Nepal, So you want to know the cost? Actually it is hard to tell how much the cost to trek to EBC, because there is so much information you could get out there, hundreds of agent you can get from Kathmandu, Nepal and they offer a different prices and services. Here i would like to share from my experience, preferably hired local agent from Thamel, Kathmandu. It is really important to remember the following as your price will be depend on

  1. How many days you want to do? - There are budget trek 12 days via normal route , average 15 days via normal route or adventurous and fun trek 22 days via Gokyo - chola pass

  2. Which season you planning to do? - Peak season ( March to April/May )is more expensive than Low season (September to October/November)

  3. Which travel agent you buy the trek from? - Local agent, your country travel/tour agent or Online agent? with western guide or local guide.

  4. What type of trek you want to do? - Full board, all inclusive with guide and porter or independent.

  5. How you want to go to Everest region from Kathmandu? - By flight will take 35 minutes to reach Lukla or 8 hours bus ride Kathmandu to Jiri.

Here is my list base on my experience, normally i booked my trip from local private company in Thamel, Kathmandu via online and i will private message them in facebook that is http://www.everquestexpeditions.com price range per person from 1500USD to 2000USD for an average 12 to 15 days trek. The price include permits, TIM card, round trip flights from Kathmandu to Lukla, accommodation, meals, guide and porter. Not include your flight to Nepal, travel insurance, visa fee, trekking equipment, porter and guide tips (token). There two possibilities when booking online

  1. Benefit - Everything will be pre arranged for you before arrive in Nepal.

  2. Negative - You won't be able to choose your guide before the trip.
