NFT, NFT, NFT... few months back i keep hearing this. It was still very 'hot' back then.
Clueless of what NFT was, i keep on searching and reading, joined various discord. Blur at first and as time pass i get a clearer picture of what is NFT.
NFT the short form for Non Fungible Token. It could be for games, for educations, for memberships, for specific business and etc.
I learned a lot of new jargon words and that not all NFT projects are genuine. Some in the form of fast rug pull while some are super slow rug pull. Either one, it could only mean a loss of your money invested into the project.
My very first NFT was Martians vs Rednecks. Due to the time difference, the purchase opening time was almost our midnight. We (a group of newbie in NFT) was downloading and setting up our wallet for the very first time and thereafter waiting anxiously for the platform to be available (there is limited unit available for that 1 hour period). Once the platform become available, we nervously trying to figure out how to connect our wallet, what's the next steps, trying to be as fast as we can (fear of missing out).
My very first NFT must be a cute one? Nahh....when the card was finally revealed after days of waiting, i got a Redneck uncle...haha...
Weeks down the road i got my Martians (from the 1 to 1 entitlement) and thereafter a copy of the digital comic with more to come.
It was an amazing experience, from creating a wallet to purchasing to hodling the NFT.
After exploring few NFTs, my opinion is purchasing an NFT is hardwork, from learning about the project and following-up on the project frequently to ensure that you know what is happening is a bit too much work for me. But nevertheless, each good NFT project is a memorable learning process especially if you join the project from the beginning and watching it grows as time goes by.
