Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church - Milford CT

On a walk along the green last week I took some shots of the Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church here in Milford.

Its quite a beautiful church from the outside, and from what I have heard from the inside, but I haven't been inside as yet.

I did note the door was open, so thought about going in, so I walked along to in front of the Church and then I noticed a service was going on, I did peak in the door and it is truly beautiful also inside, but I of course could not go in and take photos

And here is a shot of one of the stained glass windows, I can just imagine how beautiful they must be looking out of the windows on a beautiful sunny day and the light shining through them.

The shape of the church is very unusual, with the slopped front end and small...turret?...in the entryway. Thanks for sharing, I'll be looking this place up.

Oh, jeeze. It's beautiful. I can't believe the detail work in the stone. Took some serious craftsmen some serious time to build those walls. Amazing.

I've got a spider in my head, and I'm looking at mirrorless cameras. I think I probably need the size and ability on Connie.

Mirrorless are nice and light to carry easily in a backpack for sure,m thats why I switched, I do love my Sony A7iii, but still have my Sony A6500, it is even lighter and very capable

those pictures are so amazing..I went to Milford some 10 years back and was absolutely taken by the beauty of Milford, well the whole of NZ, I wished to actually settle down there...Thank you for reminding me of those days.
that last pic- is so beautiful- that's what I love about the church, the stained glass painting, artworks and the light coming through..Divine..

I love the look of old churches; the workmanship is often amazing! When I skimmed your post title, my mind immediately skipped to Mary Tyler,as in Moore haha

I get so wrapped up thinking about the time frame the old buildings were erected....the lack of equipment and tools we have today did not limit the inspiration of design or hold back on size....and built to last.
