Announcing the very first tournament for members of ALL the Team Possible Splinterlands guilds. Find out everything you need to know in this post.
A TP Tournament? Why?
March is a very special month for @royaleagle and myself as we are both born in this month. We are hosting a tournament in which ALL Team Possible guild members can participate.
The tournament was first announced 3 weeks ago in the Team Possible Discord server and the different guild taverns, so this shouldn't be the first time you hear about it.
Since it's only 2 days away, we thought it was time to give you a bit more information about it.
Please be aware that this tournament is open for members of any of the Team Possible Guilds only and that you need to be REGISTERED if you want to particpate. Registration closes in 3 hours (6pm GMT), so there's not a lot of time left.
Rules
This is just a short overview of the rules. More will be explained below.
Please read the rules below.
In short:
- 1 round anytime tourney (24 hours).
- 1 account per player.
- NO BOTS allowed
- You need to register through this form before March 22nd - 6 PM GMT to be allowed to participate.
- Silver league.
- A few delegated decks are available for people who don't have a deck that is fit to compete in silver league.
- Distribution of prizes won't be like in other tournaments. Coming in 1st won't mean you will win the big prize, so everyone has a fair chance.
Tournament Info
The tournament will be an ANYTIME tournament, which means that from the moment it goes live, you have 24 hours to submit your teams. It'll be 1 round only, so you'll know how you did and what you won once those 24 hours have passed
To make it as fair as possible for everyone, it will be a SILVER LEAGUE tournament. We do realize that some of our smaller members don't have a deck that can compete at silver league, so for those people we have some DECKS AVAILABLE THAT CAN BE DELEGATED. Out of the 9 available decks, 6 have been assigned already.
If you have requested a delegated deck, come over to the Discord server so we can let you know which deck you will be playing in the tournament
Disclaimer: We only have 3 delegated decks left, and they might not be completely optimized for silver league.
Don't worry if you have no or little tournament experience. The distribution of prizes will be different from regular tournaments. You don't have to come in first to win the big prize.
Every player can use the deck they want to participate, but you can participate with 1 ACCOUNT ONLY. If you participate with more than one account, you will be disqualified and removed from the prize bracket..
Also, we want this tournament to be played by humans, so bots are not allowed. If we find out you have been using a bot, you'll be disqualified and removed from the prize bracket..
Since the tournament will be for members of the Team Possible Guilds only, it will be protected with a password. DO NOT SHARE THIS PASSWORD WITH ANYONE.
The password will be shared before the tournament starts both in Discord and the guild taverns. If you haven't registered, but use the password to participate anyway, you will be disqualified and removed from the prize bracket.
Prizes
(Please note: if you go to the tournament on the site, you'll notice that I've added a prize of 1 DEC for the first 4 spots. Of course, these are not the real prizes. I've put this in place to make sure that in case the password is leaked and non-members sign up I can disqualify them. I want the prizes to go to actual members of one of the guilds. You'll find the list of custom prizes below.)
Thanks to some generous donations of @royaleagle, @davemccoy, @warrentrx, @beeyou and myself we managed to get together a nice prize pool, which you will find below.
As you will notice, prize distribution is a bit out of the ordinary, since we want everyone to have a chance on winning a big prize, and not just the top players.
(UPDATE: Since we had so many extra members sign up last minute, I had to completely redo the prize list. You'll see the updated version below.)
Bonus Prizes
A random name generator will be used to pick the name of 2 random participants.
1 of them will receive an Alpha booster pack (courtesy of @vettev), the other one will receive an Essence Orb.
How To Join?
You'll need to be registered to join. Registration closes at 6pm GMT today (March 22nd).
I realize this is short notice, but this has been announced already 3 weeks ago, so everyone had plenty of time to sign up.
Be aware that the tournament won't show up in the regular list of tournaments. Since it's password protected, it will be listed under 'Private Tournaments'.
On the tournament screen, click the field 'Public Events'.
In the drop down menu (or popup), select 'Private Events'.
The tournament will show up in the list there.
Or you can use this direct link:
https://splinterlands.com/?p=tournament&id=3e50294e43f2387575fabbe639129020fc0ea52a
(You'll find the password in the TP Discord server in the guild-members-chat room or in the tavern of your guild.)
Distribution Of Prizes
Since we're not using the automated system that is implemented in the site, all prizes will be distributed manually.
We'll do our very best to distribute the prizes as fast as we can, but please cut us a little slack, because it will take some time to send out everything.
Good Luck To All Participants
We want everyone to have some fun by joining the tournament, and celebrate our birthdays with us.
Since every participant will win a prize, you'll have nothing to lose and everything to gain by joining.
Remember: you can only participate if you're a member of one of the Team Possible guilds and have registered through this form before 6pm GMT on March 22nd (which is 3 hours from now).
If you didn't register, or are not a member of one of the TP guilds, you'll be disqualified and removed from the prize bracket.
Good luck to everyone!!!
Best of birthdays to you and @royaleagle
Thanks
Happy Birthdays =D
