Life is indeed full of mysteries. You will never know what will happen tomorrow. That is why we always hear that well-known maxim “Life is short so make the best out of your life”.
Indeed it’s true. When there is no certainty on what lies ahead, the best thing we should ensure is to do the best we could in order to live a kind of life, pleasant to the eyes of God and man.
Sometimes we forget that the life that we have right now is just a borrowed life. We don’t own it. And so giving that circumstance or reality, our life may be taken from us anytime, and even in the least expected time.
I don’t know, even considering the fact that we as humans know such basics in life, I mean we already know that our lives can be taken away from us anytime. Even if we don’t want it, or simply even if we are not yet ready, such time will surely come.
But why it is still painful when someone left us? It pains us when we lost someone dear to us. It hurts so much, such that sometimes we don’t even want to accept it even if it’s happening already.
When I heard about my nephew who passed away a few days back due to traffic accident, I was really hurt, my tears drop spontaneously even if I don’t want it. I don’t want others to see me crying.
There were a lot of thoughts that came into my mind during that time, which made my tears really fall every time I think about it:
• I pity him, because, at a very young age, his life was already taken from him.
• My tears fall for his 3-year-old son who was so innocent, thinking his dad was only sleeping inside the coffin. He never cried...
• My tears fall thinking about my older brother and his wife who was admitted to the hospital upon knowing that her eldest son met an accident.
• My tears fall because I was worried, things might get complicated because for 3 or 4 days we were not able to tell his mom that he’s gone already, that was so hard.
• And finally, my teardrops keeps on falling every time I am alone and with the thought that I am so helpless, since I am far and I can’t help them or I can’t let myself present during those sad times in their lives.
If only I can fly….
Now, the whole family is recovering. There were times wherein I still cry especially when a certain news will come to my attention like they thought or suspect that my nephew had visited them on some occasions.

Until now, his wife and cousins still visit and light a candle in that place where he died, sometimes without talking or planning, they see each other by chance, offering prayers and remembering the person who just left and will never come back again.

Condolence sir Long! 😭 I know how hard it is to lose someone dear to us. It is always the ones left who suffer from the loss. But that's life. We will all pass away, sooner or later. Let's just think that they are in God's hands now. 😔
