A continent which is no doubt the second largest continent in the world yet its child Hawks.
After waking up in the morning and then you realized that it was a bleeding heart whose voice echoes in your dream you up from the bed, only to peep and saw that it was a child Hawking!
The average African child hawks, the average African child doesn't attend a school, he wanders around the street screaming Buy pepper! Buy tomatoes!
Sometimes slurring his words because breakfast failed to happen that morning, the average African child is traumatized and will still go through more trauma, this kids are abused by their parents (Who are subjected to abject Poverty which leads to frustration), abused by those sadists on the street who yell obscene words at them, Africa is rising but the future of Africa is Hawking more like Africa is Hawking.

There are people like me who out of pity buy all the goods from that cute kid with large eyes and a missing tooth just to get him off the street for some few hours but even that seems impossible because as soon as he gets home his parents laden him with more burden and send him into the harsh sun and the injuries he got from God knows where fail to heal and his scabs reopen as he screams at the top of his lungs buy orange. An innocent stranger stops him on the street buys orange from him and conversationally asks him "you no go school" he replies hoarsely "I don close" but the look on his face and the watery quick smile he gives you and for the fact that it’s just some minutes past ten (10:15am) breaks your heart slowly and leaves a dent there.
Look at little Yvonne who got abused because she entered the wrong lodge while trying to sell Orange, Again I say, Africa is rising but Africa is Hawking!!!
Truewords. The woes that have become acquainted to us.
We behold the frailties of our nation enarmelled in the barn of a few powerful men.
Disdain and disgust have become the air we breathe.
And yet, we continue to grope in light as though it was a dark hour.
Still yet, we have come to settle to the fact that this burden is ours to bear. I stand with those few who want to make a change. OUR AFRICA WILL RISE AGAIN. ONLY WHEN YOU AND I DO THE NEEDFUL.
brief and deep piece with succint details. I applaude your creativity.
