I can attest to short attention span being a problem. Last year, I bought new phone and it did become more of distraction. Recently I venture out more and there's so many things to self indulge.
It comes down to your discipline, I guess. Before these past months I was way more strict in diet, work etc, but it's stressful, and also covid induced isolation didn't help. Now I tried a lot, like drinks from coffee, milk, liqour and then there's stuff like perfume and accessories. On top of social media and shiny things from phone. It's really sensory overload from more passive life, again covid induced.
If you got exposed to these, like kids these day, I doubt you can sit and go through a book or movie. So, in short technology bad - Black Mirror.
