Ubuntu is the modt user-friendly for me, because I have a lot of Linux experience, and so the user-friendliness is getting in the way for me. But I agree that it's a decent beginner Linux. However, I'm still not a fan of Cannonical and what they do to Ubuntu. I remember a couple of years ago when they, for some unknown reason, built in Amazon search into the menu, which is completely unacceptable in my opinion.
They seem to be doing better now though. I was "forced" into running Ubuntu on my work laptop, and I could actually opt out of installing art the usual pre-installs, like libreoffice etc., that's been bloating the OS previously.
