RE: Drupal - The start of my programming journey

in #tech7 years ago

I'm a web-dev by trade. Been doing it since 1999. I work mostly with SEO in mind for my clients and some of my clients use Drupal. I honestly think that nobody on the market beats Wordpress. When it comes to SEO, Wordpress wins hands down.

The biggest reason for me recommending Wordpress to my clients is the learning curve is so easy compared to Drupal for novice beginners with little CMS experience.

Just my opinion. When it comes down to it, I can make a Drupal website rank just as good as a Wordpress site. I just think it takes a bit more effort.

I agree with you that for SEO, WP is very good. The configurations are already present and the user does not have to do anything. In Drupal, you will need to download the SEO module and then manually configure all the parameters. Now for someone who does not understand SEO, it will take lots of time to configure it properly.
