Couple reasons why it is good to buy into NVDA and/or AMD stocks.
High demand in GPU
GPUs are having an increased demand as we are now seeing them being used in high-end electric vehicles (Tesla uses Nvidia chips). The latest GPUs are capable of deep learning which can make a computer have capabilities to learn, adapt, and comply to the end-user in real-time. That means more objects can be recognized, speech can be translated in, and smoother augmented reality.
AMD has better tech than Intel
Although Kaby Lake X and Kaby Lake processors has gotten an upgrade this year, AMD has Ryzen and Vega that surpasses Intel processors by being less expensive, and surpassing in core numbers. Intel's Hyper-threading technology is nice too but that is also like retro-fitting tech that was made a few years ago.
Gaming isn't going away, and VR is getting cheaper
VR is getting closer to the average-consumer. Not only are costs for a VR kit getting cheaper, they are much more powerful than before. E3 2017 is coming in mid-june so expect an increase demand for graphics cards and overall PC equipment.
Apple supports AMD
AMD Vega GPUs are in the latest iMac Pro. Although very expensive, expect a boost in sales since it is a new alteration of a line-up 3 years ago.
That's good thinking. The r9 480s are out of stock everywhere and even used they are going for a lot!
people are using them etherium mining like crazy, basicly anything 3 gig or better, soon will need to be 4 gig as the blockchain gets bigger.
I totally forgot to mention about cryptocurrency mining. Oh well. :P
Before AMD made a comeback, NVDIA was in full monopoly of the market. Now there are two competitors, so always a good thing.
Gaming is always an evergreen niche, and adding that to crypto mining makes it a bigger market. My bets are on AMD to sooner or later best NVDIA .
I have shares in both. Bullish all the way. Both are great and I support my fellow taiwanese tech companies :P
