Samsung's first smartphone to come with 6GB RAM, Galaxy C9 Pro, has received its second price cut since its launch. The handset is now available at Rs 29,990 -- at Samsung website and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart -- after a price cut of Rs 2,000.
Originally launched at Rs 36,900, the South Korean tech giant had slashed the price of the smartphone by Rs 5,000 back in June, after which it was available at Rs 31,900.
The Galaxy C9 Pro has a 6-inch full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.95GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC. It offers 64 GB internal storage and a microSD support of up to 256GB. For imaging duties, the smartphone has a 16MP camera on both front and back with f/1.9 aperture.
The dual-SIM C9 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Wi-Fi as connectivity options. It's backed by a 4000mAh battery.
Earlier this week, Samsung had launched its Galaxy Tab A (2017) tablet in India. Priced at Rs 17,990, the tablet will be available on major e-retailers as well as offline stores.
The Galaxy Tab A comes in a metal-clad design with smooth edges and sports an 8-inch display with 1280x800p resolution. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor of unknown company. The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and has a single-SIM functionality. For storage, the device offers 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM (of which 9.7GB is available). Users can also install microSD cards of up to 256GB.
It measures 212.1mm x 124.1mm x 8.9mm and weighs 364 grams. The device has a physical home button on the front and menu buttons are just below the display.
In terms of camera, the device offers 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. Running Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box, it offers 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as major connectivity options.
