Recent research shows that numerous companies dealing with cryptocurrency have settled in the Belarus Hi-Tech Park, after the government in the capital Minsk has legalized crypto-related activities for its residents.
The study reports that the increased simplicity of registering a crypto-related company in the region is the reason for the increase in cryptoactivity. However, the report makes it clear that there is even more need for clear guidelines and detailed rules to attract more investors to the area. The report shows that a total of 388 cryptocurrency companies can be found in the area. It seems that the main reason for this growth has to do with the presidential decree, or decree, which was taken about 10 months ago.
Decree №8 was signed last year by President Lukashenko. The decision is aimed at the development of the digital economy. One of the main goals was to attract foreign high-tech companies to the former Soviet republic. The decree that legalizes crypto-related activities such as exchanges, Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and cryptocurrency-mining (exclusively for entities registered in Belarus Hi-Tech Park) has been identified as the driving force behind the rapid growth of this region. Has been going through lately.
A good example of a popular and successful crypto company in the Hi-Tech Park is Aetsoft: a blockchain development company that has been providing services to ICOs and decentralized exchanges since 2014. The company has customers all over the world.
