VIDEO: I'm premiering my record label's biggest single on DTube: Ken Ishii - Malfunction Manipulation

in #techno7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone!

This is my first publication on Steemit and DTube.

I decided to premiere the original music from my label's biggest release to date, in an effort to raise the awareness about DTube's awesomeness.

In 2016 I opened my account on Steemit and have never made a serious post until now.

After the recent demonetization of my label's Youtube channel, despite the 8 years of uploads (about 650), they decided we didn't make enough minutes to keep qualifying for the monetization program. A little disappointing to say the least.

Now, here's our small contribution to the community, in an effort to promote Dtube's wonderful new platform, and the new technologies and ideals behind it's inner workings.

Here is Ken Ishii's latest original production. A techno cut named 'Malfunction Manipulation'

After 'Twitched' and four remix releases later, Ken Ishii reveals his latest EP 'Malfunction Manipulation'. The renowned Japanese DJ received international acclaim early on in his career, producing the official theme song of the 1998 winter Olympics in Nagano and making the cover of Newsweek two years later as a symbol of modern Japanese culture. Since then, Ken Ishii has toured internationally playing in festivals such as Monegros, WIRE, and earlier this year in Tomorrowland. A true international artist, Ken teams up with London-based DJ Funk D'Void and Venezuelan-born DJ Greencross for this new release of chill, glitchy techno.

In the words of Ishii himself:

"interesting musical pieces derive from malfunctions of machines or musician's irregular deeds. It's usually not controllable, but if you can control it you would be able to rule this music world."

Ken demonstrates his mastery over his instruments in "Malfunction Manipulation," a slow-building track buzzing with electricity. The sounds edge towards the breaking point before they are pulled back at the last second into the discipline of the tight beat. Funk D'Void follows up with his remix of the track which highlights the ambient and melodic undertones of the original. Finally, Greencross gives the track a harder edge with a hint of 8-bit nostalgia in his version.

The artists involved, the record label and myself will be actively promoting this video to our social networks, and media contacts.

Why? because we all think Steemit, DTube, Blockchain and decentralization itself are so techno!

So here is the premiere for the video clip of 'Malfunction Manipulation' by Ken Ishii.

Nice post! Cool video, would be awesome in VR! Good to see some more techno moving towards steemit, will follow your label!

Wow awesome, thanks a lot. For me since this morning when the post picked up it's been quite the rewiring in my brain. Seeing that our efforts can be truly enjoyed by people like you. I'll be posting music of the labels I manage (five so far), and I was also thinking about creating content to share the process of digital record label management. Maybe people can learn something as well!. Thanks very much again!, feel free to resteem if you like :)

Looking forward to both the music and the content about label management! Yes, there also has been quite some rewiring going on since I'm discovering steemit. I'd like to use it to share my personal journey into sound and to see what other people are working on. Very inspiring!

just followed you to be able to keep up with your postings !! welcome!
