Side effects of new technologies that will be a big problem for humanity

in #technology7 years ago

Thanks to new technologies, mankind saw more progress in a decade than in full centuries, but not everything is as positive as it is believed and these spectacular inventions can be very dangerous.

If you believed that your life was better thanks to modern technologies, we tell you how these can negatively affect your life and even put at risk the entire humanity.

  1. Increased violence

Thanks to video games and the highly violent and disturbing content accessed today, people are becoming desensitized to a host of violent or inappropriate behaviors.

To normalize and to lose the surprise to things that previously considered bad or incorrect, is leading to increase physical, psychological and verbal abuse among people in different areas, in addition to the growth of hate crimes with a level of cruelty that we rarely saw one of each.

  1. Risk of killer robots

Artificial intelligence can be as useful as dangerous and experts on the subject warn of the risk that autonomous machines can turn against their creators. Elon Musk has already stated that we will soon realize the danger when a robot starts killing people on the street.

In a number of countries there is a debate about whether or not to allow intelligent weaponry to decide to shoot and end human lives without the supervision of flesh and blood, which would undoubtedly mean the end of human civilization and beginning of the era of robots.

  1. Encouragement for perverse sexual behaviors

Specialists in human behavior expressed concern about the sex robots that are coming to the mass market, because they believe that by being realistic and able to take on the appearance that their owners want to give, stimulate perverse sexual behaviors.

Experts explain that a robot can pretend resistance within what would be the fantasy of a rape or behave like a child before a pedophile, sooner or later these people will see their behavior legitimized and could try to bring it to real life with victims of meat and bone.

  1. Hacking Wireless Devices

Any device that connects to a network, whether or not the Internet, is in danger of falling into the control of hackers. And we do not just talk about computers or mobiles, but also about home appliances and even implants and pacemakers.

It has already been shown that it is possible to hack cars from a distance, as well as medical devices that go into the body and yet the necessary security measures are not yet taken to prevent this risk from becoming a major catastrophe.

  1. Accidents due to technological distraction

A harmful effect of technology that we can see every day and increasingly worse, the number of traffic accidents caused by technological distractions, especially mobile phones, is getting higher.

These accidents are not only the fault of drivers, but also those who walk the streets without seeing what lies ahead. While there are initiatives to try to reduce these completely preventable tragedies, the numbers continue to rise.

All harmful side effects of new technologies pose a great risk to humanity and gradually become apparent in our lives, a real wake-up call to control these dangers before it is too late.
