RE: Intel releases limited 5GHz cpu i7 8086K and is giving away 8086 of them

Damn, this is a great contest but as an Australian I am not elgible for entry. I received a popup that said:

This sweepstakes is only available for residents of USA, Canada (excluding Quebec), UK, France, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Mainland China and Taiwan. Entrants from other countries/regions will not be eligible to win, and winners will be contingent on residency verification. Read the Terms and Conditions for more details.

I don't understand why Australia wouldn't be included, it's part of Asia somewhat (South East Asia). Oh well, whoever wins one of these is going to be absolutely ecstatic.

Sort:

A lot of contests are limited to certain countries and Australia seems to get screwed all the time. I remember when Adobe announced the release of the last Creative Suite and it was more expensive as an Australian to fly to the United States, buy a copy, and fly back than to buy it in Australia.

I love the accent though, so you got that going for you.

Haha, absolutely. You only have to Google the terms, "Australia tax" to see a detailed history of Australians being ripped off in comparison to everyone else in the world. At least we have kangaroos and deadly spiders going for us as well, not sure that actually helps alleviate the pain of exclusion.

Good luck in the contest, you'll have to do a nice little write-up if you win a CPU because that would be fantastic.
