B.A.L.S. - Put Down Your Damn Cell Phones

in #technology7 years ago

It's 2018. Our cell phones have more things to do on them than we could have ever even dreamed about 15 years ago. They are a million things rolled into one. But what else are they?

A distraction.

A nuisance.

A piss-poor excuse for a babysitter.

Cell phones have made people more anti-social and lazier than ever.

Parents especially are notoriously bad for ignoring their kids while using them, oftentimes disguising their guilt, shame and addiction in the form of saying that they are on their phones for "work".

While I can't say that there aren't people who actually need to be on the phone a lot for work, I do ask that people assess the priorities in their life, and implore parents to recategorize their priorities, putting their significant others and children further up than their electronics.

See what Lady Steem has to say to one grandmother who has had it with her daughter's cell phone addiction!

Until next time, stay steemy my friends!

Wow yeah I feel this ladies concern. I hate when I hang out with a friend and they are on the phone the whole time. Its so rude. :D

My hubs does this to me all the time, and it really hurts me. He does a lot of his work online and is constantly responding on Twitter and is like "it's for my work" and it just makes me crazy!

I just love that your show is called BALS! Great content!

Haha thanks! It started out as a joke, and then I was like, meh what the hell!

What the hell makes me laugh 😂😂

really that point is very interesting, addiction to the phone has made us olgazanes and has made us forget certain important things in life, many times I have been ignored by people like my friends who live trapped in your device. BETH I miss hearing you sing ... greetings !!

I want to get back to singing, but I just felt largely ignored so it kinda took a toll on me. Maybe at some point I will get back to it! Thanks for the encouragement!

Your show Balls is very good show . This is the helpful post . Thanks for sharing @bethwheatcraft
