What is a manual typewriter? How is the shape? How to use it?

Of course for parents who work in the office may be familiar about the typewriter or even someone who never use it. But a bit foreign to the community especially especially for the majority of young people in this day and age.

Background

Remembering the experience of the past while studying at SMK Private East Jakarta by taking the Department of Administration Office, typewriter is not foreign to me. Every week during the 3-year study there will always be a typewriter lesson. Maybe someone new to the typewriter will be surprised and ask why there is a typewriter lesson in this sophisticated era. Why not just use a computer? Yups typewriters may be considered old-fashioned for some people but that's the reality. In my school there is the practice of typewriters and also there are computer practices.

Introduce

A typewriter is a machine, or an electronic device with a set of buttons which, when pressed, causes letters to be printed on a document, usually paper. From the beginning of its invention before 1870 to the 20th century, typewriters were widely used by professional writers and office workers. Since then, typewriters have become part of the company's business and become commercial products around the world. Although still popular with some professions, like the author, the typewriter has been distracted by the presence of another machine. In the late 1980s, word processing machines and personal computers had replaced typewriter function in some countries in the western world.

History

Typewriter is actually one of the important history for the opening of a computer. Before computers exist, typewriters are the ones that help the human work to make the writing more neat and beautiful. For the year 1999 down, the typewriter is one of the tools that may be needed to work in the field of office. But for the year 1999 upwards the use of a typewriter rarely found even gone.

Remember

There is one rule that should always be done by the students at my school that is nail clippings before entering the typewriter practice room. Why do we have to trim the nails out completely? Yes. because the typewriter is very much different from the computer. The keys are not aligned and high keys make the use must be extra careful. Long nails will make it difficult for users to type right on the target of the desired keys. If one presses the keys, the finger will hurt as it enters the bottom of the keys. But if it is common to use it would be proficient and rarely hurt his fingers.
