First Observed Object Outside Our Solar System Enters Our Solar System

On October 14th an object passed by Earth at a safe distance of 24 million miles. This was not an object from our solar system, however; it did not meet any orbits that would make sense for our solar system. Observed by a telescope at the Universiy of Hawaii, this object, named c/2017 u1, was spotted about a month ago and possible orbits were calculated. It appears to scientists to have a strongly hyperbolic orbit and may be from the Vega system.
