Hey guys, so recently iv been watching alot of videos about augmented reality and how this is changing our world in ways we never thought were possible. We are becoming more aware of this technology in applications like snap chat, Facebook , Pokemon Go just to mention a few. Even though one may not take these minor developments like putting funny face animations as an overlay on what we see through our phone cameras as a serious matter, i see it as a game changer. Imagine a world where we can have all appliances in a single device. We could have our television, computer and even household artifacts all in a single application. Yes folks i see the future in this technology where instead of us buying a real sculpture or television we would just need to purchase a virtual good which we could then use with our mobile device and virtual reality headset.
What is Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality?
Well in simple terms augmented reality is technology that can detect objects and place overlays on top of them as well as track movement and still keep a virtual overlay where it was placed in the beginning. virtual reality is technology which enables users to view an application and its data and well as use it from a first pointer perspective, Virtual reality applications allow users to feel like their in the game or application as it tracks user movement and updates maps accordingly. Virtual reality however requires the user to have a VR headset in order to use it.
How will this technology Influence the Future ?
- It will soon allow us to watch television from an application instead of buying a real tv we can buy a virtual tv
- We will be able to conduct face to face interviews even from different countries yet with same facial expressions and user movements.
- Will be able to experience things as a group as well as play games together or act in a movie as if you were really there
- And much more endless possibilities..........
