Hey @sammosk, I really enjoyed the article. I think you're neglecting to mention the dangers that abound working with so little gravity and what it does to the Human Body. Mind that, if they created artificial gravity bases, this one wouldn't be much of a problem; however, there are other issues.

Overall, though, I love the idea of terraforming for the next step in Human Evolution. I see the Moon as an intermediary, a base that would not only provide the benefits that you mention but also stepping-stones for further manned exploration and inhabitation further out.

Artificial gravity can be taken care of fairly simply with some rotating habitats. I figured the whole soul destroying radiation, lack of air, distance and cost of lifting up there was more worthy of attention.
