You know people always like to hold up "I Robot" (the book) as an example of machines gone horribly wrong, but actually it's a story about making a computer so smart it tricks us into not destroying eachother.

Yes people arround the world are dead everydays, and the leaders juste waste money and time
If we could actually create robots as kind as in I, Robot, ones that are so well programmed they wont even let us hurt ourselves....there are worse "apocalypses" to be had is all I'm saying haha.
