RE: Steemit User's Biggest Security Flaw On Comments

in #technology8 years ago

Like I said in the other comment, That is why you have the flag feature! I am beginning to think here that the intentions are others ones besides this type of fraud. Example, I wouldn't delete your comment, even thou is irrelevant, meaning that is worth "zero" because it does not put an "iota" to the discussion. It only shows your imperial wishes!

Sort:

Yes, by all means, if you like Facebook more, please stay there....

Fortunately, you do not get to decide that!

Don't let them folks get you down, we want you here.
Please continue to speak up!

k. You've been here for a week. Check it out a bit more.

Are you sure that you want to tell folks to just piss off and stay on fedbook?
That is not a very friendly attitude.

Thinking you know what's best for the platform after being here one week is not a good attitude either.

The suggestion to allow deleting comments and saying it needs to be urgently implemented is plainly and clearly a poor idea for Steemit. Appealing to hysteria and calling it a security flaw was also a poor idea.

Ok, I'm with you on those points,....though taking down troll comments isn't all bad.
My point was being less than cordial with potential investors.
Even if he is the worst troll ever, a positive, even placating, response seems in order, to me.
No telling who he talks to,....customer service is very important, even with those we don't particularly support.
But, I don't want to discourage you, either.
If you feel strongly, speak up, as you did.
I think nesting is more important than blocking trolls, but both have their place.

Replying here because of the nesting limit. I didn't take the OP for a troll, and didn't downvote the post either. I was brief in my rebuking of the idea because others had already expressed the exact reasons why it wouldn't fly.

See, nesting is still bothering us when this issue is really at an end.
Forgive me if I tend to stick up for underdogs?
