A 25-year-old American was arrested after he smuggled 6 kilos of methamphetamine to the USA using a quadocopter. Supposedly earlier he managed to accomplish it at least 6 times and was not caught.
The idea of building a wall along the US-Mexico border is, to put it mildly, stupid, for many reasons. One of these reasons is that outside the wall, it would be easy to get through or transport something with the help of modern technology. This is what a American has proved to be the case, trying to smuggle almost 6 kilos of methamphetamine from Mexico, using quadocopter.
According to a report by the Associated Press Agency, an American citizen - Jorge Edwin Rivera - was arrested for transporting methamphetamine to the USA with the help of a quadocopter visible in the photo. It is said that Rivera has reportedly informed the authorities that since March this year he has used the same method of smuggling at least six times and has not been caught. Recently, he has tried to transport an unusually large amount of the drug, because, as we have mentioned, almost 6 kilos.
The U. S. Customs and Border Protection (U. S. Customs and Border Protection) has noticed a throne near the existing border fence near the San Ysidro border crossing point. The agents followed the throne until it led them to Rivera, who allegedly carried large plastic bags filled with methamphetamine, which he delivered to the Dorns. Rivera, who is 25 years old, was only 2 kilometres from the border.
It is not clear how many times the dron had to fly over a border to supply such a quantity of methamphetamine. However, photographs published by the Customs and Border Protection Office suggest that 6 kilograms is the weight limit for such a dron. This throne looks like DJI Matrice 600, the limit of which is just as much.
According to estimates of the Customs and Border Protection Office, 6 kilograms of methamphetamine is worth approximately $46,000. Rivera reportedly told the police that he was receiving $1000 for taking on the risks of drug smuggling into the country. He is currently in custody and is due to be charged on 7 September.
That was a brilliant idea! This dude is trying to innovate the smuggling game! Plus the meth shards hold up well if the quadcopter crashed..
