So, my PC. There has been the one or other difficulty preventing me from setting it up yet.
Starting with the screen. Yes, a replacement will be needed before that ones going to work out.
The Power supply and cooling block are of course a lot less sensitive and everything else came in a seperate bag with more protection and in their individual packaging. Looking fine, though without screen its obviously not gonna do much and also i do get an errorcode on boot, i believe i had the same one before, reseating the CPU was what helped back then.
One of the least favorite actions to take with my CPU, yes.
Though the first time i plugged it in i also felt the case being electrified. Just a light tingle, but that i could feel it at all sitting on ceramic tiled floor tells me that it mustve been the whole 220V.
Well, we dont have PE or ground here, only phase and null.
Looks like i need to dig up some electric hacks common in the 70s and prior:
using the null as ground. So i went to an electical store in town, got myself some outlets with groundpins and a multimeter to find phase.
And a plunger. Because you dont want to not have that if you need it.
And here we have it:
Now i just cant have phase and null flipped, normaly it doesnt matter but of course in this it would mean that ground is suddenly phase and we dont want that.
I could try and fix the beepcode (AGP error i believe is what it means on the board, if its the same as last time its just that one of the pins of the cpu doesnt connect properly and a reseating will likely fix that) but ill probably get a screen first.
