I grew up in the 70’s where technology meant having a color TV (if your parents could afford one -Mine could not). I see parents handing their children a phone or iPad to keep them quiet at very young ages creating habits which, formed in those formative/impressionable years, will be impossible to break later in life. We live in a world where going outside to play is almost a thing of the past; Heaven forbid the kid gets dirty...But fortunately kids can stay safely inside on the interwebs where their hands remain clean. Hmm...
I’m not sure some parents are capable of preventing tech-addictionnin their kids because they, themselves, are addicted to it. (Facebook, Snapchat etc.) They need their kids to be quiet and occupied so they can engage in their need for technology and whatever reality it brings them.
It’s a big issue.
