UATAG is a technology for confirming the originality of goods and protection against forgery.
The invention has the form of a shield in which broken glass is placed! Yes, yes, it was broken glass! It acts as a unique identifier of authenticity, that is, the "fingerprint" of the goods.
This idea arose during a dispute between the authors of the project about whether one person can create something that the other will never repeat. Among such moments of "uniqueness" was glass.
The texture of broken glass is always unique!
In this not artful and accessible to any material with rapid cooling from a heated state, its outer layers cool faster than internal ones. The temperature difference arises from the low thermal conductivity of the glass. With mechanical damage, the cracks will pass under the influence of compressive and tensile stresses. It is these invisible strains that allow you to create a unique pattern when striking.
Cracks can not be repeated, duplicated or faked.
The inventors used these unique properties of glass to identify the goods and confirm their authenticity.
How it works?
A 3D photograph of each broken glass plate is entered into the protected blockchain database under its unique serial number.
The manufacturer attaches a UATAG protective tag with a unique pattern of cracks to each item of the product with an unbreakable ribbon (seal).
The buyer scans the QR code shown on the protective tape UATAG and gets into the protected database, where he receives the photo of this tag.
Compare the glass pattern that holds the serial number of UATAG with the image that the database is protected. If they coincide, the product is original.
It is impossible to forge such an invention, because there are no two identical patterns of cracked glass.
Unlike most security technologies that exist today in the market, UATAG does not require any adapted devices or programs. To check the goods before purchase it is possible with the naked eye using an ordinary QR-scanner.
Scientifically confirmed that the resolution of the human eye is about 3000 dpi. For comparison, computer screens have a resolution of 72 dpi to 105 dpi. As a result, the human eye detects small parts of the image (cracks) much better than common electronic devices. This makes it easy to compare the cracks and determine their identity.
UATAG positions itself as a technology for protecting exclusive premium goods: clothes, shoes, accessories, watches, jewelry, paintings, museum valuables.
In addition to the main function - anti-counterfeiting, UATAG can also play the role of a stylish accessory. The price for such an accessory to the product starts from $ 3, it will include storage in the database and will depend on the material of the case. Customers can order a protective tag in a plastic case, or in a case made of precious metals.
