RE: Solar Power as an Alternative Source of Power in Africa (Some Pictures of a Friend's Installation Which he did this Past Weekend)

It has an estimated lifespan of 25 years. Rain and sun would always have an impact on it. But in the manufacture, these factors are put into considerations in the making the choice for the type of material and the finishing on the product. It is just like asking if the road would have any effect on the tires. Yeah, it does have effects, but the tires have some standards and specification that would make it last for the average guaranteed period of use if you obey all the specified load parameters.

25 years is really a long time. This is a very good way if escaping electricity problems, although it involves a lot of money but the out come is worthwhile.

Thank you @greenrun.

I agree with you on the results, they are fantastic.

Yeah they are, considering the electricity issue in this part of the world solar is the new gold. We can always take advange of the sun since it is always shining like halogen lamp.😊

Lol at halogen lamp.It sure is very bright here and the good news is that there are portable systems one could take on if the cost of big one such as this is too exhobitant

Yeah right...very true.
