Now children under 13 can use social media Facebook's new app. Facebook launched a special edition of Messenger for people under 13 on Monday. According to the Facebook policy, account can not be opened if you are not of 13 years of age. So the app has been built keeping in mind the old age.

According to BBC Online news, this feature is currently available in the United States of Apple's iPhone. This app called 'Messenger Kids' has been considered for children's safety, important features. If you want to open an account, the parent's approval will be required. In addition, if you want to add a friend to the messenger, you have to go through the same process.

Lauren Cheng, Product Manager, 'Messenger Kids' says,' Parents now allow children's tabs and smartphones to be used. But there is a question about how they are using it and which apps are right for them. So when talking to some parents we found that children need such an app, we thought about it. It is specially made for kids of those ages. Experts have been consulted in this regard.

In the United States, 93 percent of children aged 6 to 12 get access to smartphones or tabs. Two-thirds of them have their own phones. These children can use Facebook if they wish. But it can not be safe for them. From this thought to children, this app is on Facebook. The messenger for children will highlight the positive, safe, correct aspects of technology.
